Paper is the main material used to build a paper model. Your choice affects how easily the parts can be cut, shaped and assembled, so it is worth choosing carefully.
Start by considering the model's complexity. If it has many small parts, very thick paper will be difficult to bend and shape.
Please note
Paper weighing 160–200 g/m² works well for most models.
Some parts benefit from thicker or thinner paper. For example, 230 g/m² paper can work well for ship frames, while ordinary 80 g/m² paper is suitable for rolling gun barrels. After building a few models, you will find it easier to judge which paper weight a particular part needs.
